The decision to observe a two-day strike was taken in a meeting of the National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers.

 Power sector's employees will be on strike on March 28 and 29 for against the privatization policies of the central government,
a worker's union leader said on Wednesday.

The decision was made in a meeting of the National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers (NCCOEEE)

held on Wednesday, All India Power Engineers Federation President Shailendra Dubey, Constituent of the organization, said here.



As per source power sector workers of the other states will also be part the protest against Central government policies of privatization for two days March 28 and 29.

 

The main demands of the power sector employees and engineers are that the Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2021 should be withdraw,



All types of privatization processes should be stopped and the decision to privatize power sector, especially in union Territories of Chandigarh, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman Diu and Puducherry, Should be cancelled
